Cheats have been part of Grand Theft Auto’s historical DNA since its origins in arcades and consoles of the late 90s. Although Rockstar Games has not confirmed the list of GTA VI cheats nor their exact functioning, the studio’s tradition allows us to analyze which were the most popular codes in GTA V and what chances they have of returning for the story mode in Vice City and Leonida.

The tradition of cheats in the Grand Theft Auto series
In classic games like GTA: San Andreas and GTA: Vice City, cheats were entered through complex D-pad and button combinations during gameplay. With GTA IV and GTA V, Rockstar modernized the system by allowing codes to be activated via the number pad on the protagonists’ mobile phone, in addition to maintaining the classic button sequences on the controller.
In all cases, the use of cheats was conceived as an arcade fun tool to unleash chaos in the open world or experiment with impossible physics, with the permanent warning that their activation disables PlayStation trophies and Xbox achievements during the active session.
The GTA V cheats with the highest probability of returning
1. Max health and full armor
The quintessential fundamental cheat in any game of the series. It allows you to immediately restore the character’s health bar and bulletproof vest, in addition to repairing the vehicle you are currently in. Given that Lucia and Jason will face intense shootouts and police chases, it is almost certain that a similar mechanism will exist in the campaign.
2. Modification of the police wanted level
Being able to increase the wanted level to five stars to trigger the deployment of the SWAT special forces or reduce it to zero stars to escape an impossible chase has been a constant in all main installments.
3. Instant vehicle generation (Spawn)
In GTA V, players constantly used cheats to spawn iconic vehicles without having to travel to a garage:
- Attack Helicopter (Buzzard): Ideal for traversing the aerial map quickly.
- Luxury sports cars (Pfister Comet / Grotti Carbonizzare): With the aesthetics of Vice City, the appearance of speedsters inspired by 80s sports cars and modern supercars is an expected classic.
- Motocross bikes (Sanchez) and quads: Very useful for exploring the swamp areas and rural dirt roads of Leonida.
4. Physics and gravity modifiers
Experimental GTA V cheats provided hours of free play:
- Moon gravity: Reduced earthly attraction, making ramp jumps and explosions launch cars into the air.
- Super jump and fast run: Exponentially increased the speed and agility of the protagonists on foot.
- Slow motion aiming and explosive bullets: Added a spectacular cinematic layer to armed confrontations.
What changes in GTA 6 regarding the cheat system
The leap to the new generation of consoles will transform the interaction with secret codes:
- Integration with fictional social networks and mobile apps: Lucia and Jason’s smartphone features dynamic applications inspired by short video networks. Cheats could be unlocked as “viral leaks” or contact numbers saved in the agenda.
- Open world persistence: In classic installments, spawning a vehicle replaced the previous one. In GTA VI, the memory of parked objects and vehicles will allow greater stability without sudden disappearances when turning the camera.
- Coordination of two characters: It remains to be seen whether invincibility or weapon modification cheats will affect both protagonists simultaneously or if they will be applied individually depending on who you are controlling.
