How We Verify Our Guides
Our methodology: what we publish before launch, what we verify through gameplay, and how we label each guide by its certainty level.
A guide has one purpose: solving a concrete problem inside the game. Prior to launch, most of those challenges don’t exist yet, so here is our working standard.
What We Publish Before Launch
- Detailed breakdowns of material officially published by Rockstar Games.
- Practical technical preparation: announced platforms, storage requirements, pre-orders, and user accounts.
- Mechanics showcased in official trailers, such as the police and wanted level systems.
- Fact-checking and debunking false rumors circulating across social media.
What We Verify Through Hands-On Gameplay
- Story missions and secondary gold-medal objectives.
- Exact map locations for hidden collectibles and packages.
- Precise weapon and vehicle performance statistics.
- Cheat codes and telephone combinations.
All of that requires having the final retail game running. Publishing early would mean fabricating data, and too many websites do exactly that.
How We Label Each Guide
Every guide features a prominent, clear editorial status badge:
- Confirmed — verified directly in the game or sourced from official Rockstar Games releases.
- Rumor — unofficial community reports, included only when pertinent and always tagged as such.
- Analysis — in-depth technical deduction based on official material and developer patents.
This badge determines how you should evaluate the information presented.
How We Handle Changes and Updates
When a guide needs correction following a title update or new official announcement, we update the existing page and refresh its modification date, rather than publishing duplicate pages to game search rankings.
Sourcing and Citations
When a fact originates from specialist press rather than an official statement, we clearly name and link the publication. When it comes directly from Rockstar, we state it. When it is our own deduction, we state that as well.
If you notice a claim lacking a source that you believe warrants one, please contact us: it is an oversight on our part, not an editorial policy.
Guide Formatting
Each long-form guide features a sticky table of contents, numbered steps where applicable, and a frequently asked questions section. The structure is consistent across the wiki so you can find what you need without re-reading the entire article.
What We Never Do
- We do not invent codes, prices, or PC requirements. If data does not exist yet, we state that clearly.
- We never host or distribute illegally leaked files.
- We do not write clickbait headlines promising information that the article cannot provide.
