What data we process (analytics, advertising, newsletter), on what legal basis, for how long and how to exercise your rights.
Who is responsible
The controller of the data processed on guiasgta6.com is the owner of Guías GTA 6. For any privacy question, email contacto@guiasgta6.com.
Summary
- You do not need to register or give us any data to read this site.
- We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read. We do not show ads yet.
- If you sign up for our email alerts, we keep your email address to send them and for nothing else.
- We do not sell or share your data with anyone.
What data we process and why
Usage statistics (Google Analytics)
We measure which pages are visited, from what kind of device, from which country or approximate city, and what is used on the site: store links clicked, tools used, or newsletter sign-ups. This tells us which content is useful and what needs improving. We cannot see who you are.
- Provider: Google Ireland Limited.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which content is useful. You can prevent it by blocking cookies in your browser or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Retention: the period set in Google Analytics, 14 months at most.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We do not show ads yet. The site already loads the Google AdSense code because Google requires it to review our application. When we start showing ads, we will update this page and a notice will let you accept or reject advertising cookies before they are used.

Email alerts (newsletter)
If you sign up, we store:
- your email address,
- the site and page you signed up from, and your language,
- the date and proof that you agreed to receive the emails,
- an irreversible hash of your IP address, never the IP itself, to prevent fake sign-ups.
We only use it to send you the alerts you asked for.
- Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box.
- Retention: until you unsubscribe. You can do so at any time by emailing contacto@guiasgta6.com.
- The data is stored on our own server.
If you email us
We use your address and message only to reply. We keep them while the conversation lasts and afterwards for as long as the law requires.
Affiliate links
Some store links, such as Amazon or Instant Gaming, are affiliate links: if you buy after clicking them, the store pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. The store does not give us any of your data: we only see the total number of purchases and the commission. Once you are on the store’s site, its own privacy and cookie policies apply.
Server logs
Like any web server, ours technically records each request (IP address, date, page requested and browser). We use these logs to detect errors and attacks, and they are deleted after a short period. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
Who else receives data
- Google (Analytics and AdSense), as described above. Google may process data in the United States; it participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission considers to provide adequate safeguards.
- Our hosting provider, which hosts the site and the newsletter data on our behalf.
We do not sell personal data or use it for anything other than what is explained here.
Your rights
You can ask to access, rectify or erase your data, object to or restrict its use, or request its portability by emailing contacto@guiasgta6.com. Where you gave consent, for example for the newsletter, you can withdraw it at any time.
If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or the authority in your country.
Children
This site is about a game rated for adults (18+) and is not aimed at children under 14. If you are under 14, please do not sign up for the newsletter.
Changes
If we change what we do with data, we will update this page and its date.
